Glaucoma Today 2012

I had the honour of being a visiting speaker for Glaucoma Today 2012 held in Tel Aviv, Israel, on March 29-30th. A great group of glaucoma faculty from around the world spoke, along with local faculty, to 240 Ophthalmologists from Israel. In addition, Jeff Liebmann, Fabian Lerner and I had the opportunity of speaking the day before at Ophthalmology Grand Rounds at Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Kerem, just outside Jerusalem. Thanks to Eytan Blumenthal and Shlomo "Choka" Melamed for inviting me.

In this blog, I will be highlighting some of the talks as well as the sites that I saw in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. I will be working on getting things posted in the days ahead...check back for more! As these articles are being posted under the Glaucoma portion of my blog, I am just listing links to each of the articles about the conference below as I post each one.

I am a glaucoma sub-specialized Ophthalmologist and have a full time clinical practice at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic of the Geisel School of Medicine in Hanover, NH. I have a longtime interest in the use of technology to help in medical care as well as in Education. In addition, I was a very early adopter and developer of Electronic Medical Record systems who has lectured internationally on the topic of making the transition to EMRs in daily practice.
