Adventure Man
/While Laura and I were out watching our daughter, Dena, win a debating award for her first ever debate, our son, Daniel, was home alone. We arrived to learn what a boy, left home alone with nothing but a MacBook Pro, can do. Enjoy!

If anyone can help translate this, I would love to know what it means! I am assuming the apple is sad that he is going to be eaten for Rosh Hashana but not sure.
This is hysterical if you are a Davie Bowie fan, as I am. I couldn't resist posting this on my blog to share. Nick Troop creates the 'ideal' David Bowie song based on linguistical analysis of Bowie's word usage. Watch it if you DARE! Read more at New Scientist posting.
"Health psychologist Nick Troop of the University of Hertfordshire, UK, used a program called Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count to calculate how Bowie employs different categories of words in his songs. LIWC determines the rate of use of negative and positive words in a text, as well as counting references to things like sex, religion and food."
A fun summer video that our son Daniel created with his friend Nate on April 26, 2009. We had an unusually early appearance of nice weather for Vancouver this year. Filmed using the Kodak Zi6 handheld HD camera.
I started this site in 2009 to write about Glaucoma, Health IT (EMR, EHR), Technology and to host my podcast series "Talking About Glaucoma." There is a shortcut to this blog to make it easier to find http://iguy.tv/blog.
I am a glaucoma sub-specialized Ophthalmologist and have a full time clinical practice at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic of the Geisel School of Medicine in Hanover, NH. I have a longtime interest in the use of technology to help in medical care as well as in Education. In addition, I was a very early adopter and developer of Electronic Medical Record systems who has lectured internationally on the topic of making the transition to EMRs in daily practice.
